че спешно се нуждае от превод на 20 (оказаха се 25) страници текст
(проучване за мястото на "умните устройства" около нас и за автономните автомобили) за срок от два дни.

Първо ми пратиха тест. Няма проблем.

След това ми пратиха за превод от английски на български - сканиран PDF файл с графики.
Не искаха превод на графиките. Пратиха и условията:

След няколко часа получих това:

" Hello,
This is to first Congratulate you on your first successful completion of your project under OKTA.
it has been a real pleasure working with you and we hope to have more future jobs with you.
This is to inform you that your payment of $3,000.00 has been made to your Account and is currently pending into your account,
a Levy of $200.00 is to be paid first for a compulsory international money transfer levy,
once the fee has been cleared the amount will be credited in your account within a period of 30-40 minutes interval.

Kindly contact the company project director for proper guidance on how to clear this fee
and receive your payment that has already been made to your Account.
(Your payment is en-route your Account according to the international money dispensement laws).

Attached to this mail is a receipt of the transaction that has already been made pending due to the international transfer levy fee.
OKTA is always working towards a better working condition between both parties.“

Изпратиха ми и проформа фактура. Днес ходих до банката си (AIB Personal Banking – Allied Irish Banks).
Веднага извикаха агент от интернет престъпления в Гарда (Ирландската полиция) и се оказа,
че е голяма международна схема за измами на преводачи по цял свят. Утре съм на разпит с агент от ФБР.
Междувременно ме накараха (от банката и полицията) да пиша на компанията да си удържат 200 долара и да ми пратят останалото.

Ето какво отговориха:

"The payment is fixed payment is can be deducted from your salary" (Тук дори има правописна грешка "can't". Няма и точка.)

НЕ ПРЕВЕЖДАЙТЕ ПАРИ ЗА ВИ ПЛАТЯТ! МОГАТ ДА ВИ ПОИСКАТ 80, 100, 200 ДОЛАРА!

Guys, I have a friend who has just recently finished and submitted his project to a certain freelancing company.
He received an email which states that the payment has been transfered but it is on a pending status.
He is then required to link his bank account to their "payment server" in order to facilitate the transfer however. he is asked to pay $80.
He is the only bread winner in the family. He managed to submit the finished project a day before the deadline so hell get paid
and hell be able to provide for the needs of his family. Now my friend is confused on how he'll be able to come up with such amount.
They barely have something to eat. What's your take on this guy's? Your honest opinion please. Thank you.
